Notes: Before I begin, I must clarify that this review would have some spoilers in order to make a point. So, if you haven't seen the film yet and you are afraid of spoilers, please do not continue reading. Also I would say that I Will judge this movie both as an adaptation and as an stand alone film.

So, I Recently watched the new DC movie "Justice League" and It was s big suprise...........................that it was shitty as anyone would expect. Sure, it was a better experience compared to stuff Batman v Superman or Suicide Squad, but it doesn't even hold a candle to Wonder Woman, which was mediocre at best.

Before I begin, as always, I will say first the Good things that this movies has: The Cinematography has a more visually appealing color palette that plays with them in a pretty good way, the acting in general is pretty good their do their best to express the emotions of their respective characthers (Regardless of how well written this is), all the cast contribiut somewhat in the story despide it having many of them, in contrast to previous films the plot is simple and straight foward , some action scenes have a pretty nice choreography (like the battle on Themyscira), the OST is decent and memorable for the most part (with even remakes made byt Danny Elfman of the 60s batman theme o the famous superman theme) which goes hand in hand with the dramatic moments and action scenes, and (almost like wonder woman) a few of the jokes are actully funny (but unlike the previous film, this has this problems that I will mention later on).

Now, to start with the bad things, one of the most noticeable problems in the movie were the main characters and main Villain. By that, I mean, What characterizes them???

-Batman/Bruce Wayne: He's smart, Rich, feels guilty for the death of Superman, kinda of funny, or something like that.
-Wonder Woman/Diana: She's Princess of the amazons, wants to save the world after the first attack of Steppenwolf, she's is trying to adapt to modern society......I Think.
-Flash/Barry Allen: He's young, he loves his father, he's smart (I think), he can run really fast, he's funny and......
-Cyborg/Victor Stone: He's smart..........
-Aquaman/Arthur Curry: He hates his mother, he's carismatic, he's rebellious, but also funny and noble (somehow).
-Superman/Clark Kent/Kal-El: He's back from the dead, he'sa simbol of peace (despite threating him like a menace in the last movie), first wants to be alone, and then he helps to fight Steppenwolf.

All of them have a basic characterization, many of them describe their origin in a vague way without really exploring them (unless you hace seen the other 4 movies already), and the chemistry is based mostly on punch-lines and silly jokes, instead of, you know, ACTUAL CHEMISTRY LIKE TALKING ABOUT HOW THEY FELL ON FACING A GLOBAL THREAT THAT CAN EASILY KILL THEM OR HOW THE PUT ASIDE THEY DIFFERENCES TO UNITE???? This consequently makes one of its main themes (companionship and union) handled in a superficial way.

On top of that, none, and i mean, NONE of them have an interesting characther arc, they remain static though out the whole movie. And the Main villian (Steppenwolf) isn't worht mentiong: He's forgettable as fuck, having only motivation to Conquest the world with the Mother Boxes but nothing else, making them one-dimensional.

As for the story, is equally as bad: It starts off with 20 minutes of showing us too much things that we saw and we know from the beginning, the tone is inconsistent (sometimes in very dramatic moments they throw a silly joke from nowhere breaking all the tension and seriouness), most of the jokes are forced as hell and innmersion breaking for the reason I Just said. Yeah, there are SOME few jokes that work, but it only cracks a smile and nothing else, I'm not saying that an action movie can be a comedy and a serious drama ate the same time, since the time has shown that you can do that (ex: John Wick 1 and 2, Hardcore Henry, Deadpool, Baby Driver, Nice Guys, Kingsman, etc), the thing is that you have to know how to presented the tone of your film and know you to balacen those moments, which Justice League Doesn't. 

As for the rest of plot, it is quite typical in the formula of the superhero of uniting and fighting X villian, but without something that stand out particullary (like the setting, the villian, the team, the conflict itself, or another them explore). By the way, the scene of Superman being revived to conveniently "save the day" is the most insulting shit I've seen in a long time, not only it's superconvient that the Mother Box can do that or that Batman acts in such a stupid way to use it knowing they know little about this artifact itself, it doesn't know how to handle the drama; literally no one cries or laughs of joy with the return of Superman (aka the "Symbol of peace and good", something very contradicnting taking into account the last 2 movies, where he was a divided figure), is more they start to make shitty jokes about this situation instead of expressing what is the return of the symbol of truth and justice. Speaking of Superman, unlike the previous movies in the DCEU, does have  KINDA of a characther arc (first being all mad at Batman and JL, then talking with Louis lane and Martha to make him feel better, and then he goes to save the day and join the JL), but the movie doesn't focuse enough on him to this be call "a Good Arc"

As for the Visuals they were pretty hit or miss: Some special efects look good like the design ot Atlantis , Steppenwolf, the flash runing scenes or the Batmovil, whereas some of them where cheap as hell, for example Cyborg, the Parademons, some of the impact in the enviroment, or hidding a mustache in Superman's face. It's very notable that they don't use any practical efects in here. Some of the editing choices there pretty wierd by putting comedy in serious drama moments, some scenes have an inconsistency in regards to the lighting (probably because of the massive reshoots) along with very continuity mistakes in the background. The OST, as I said before, was decent, going with some of the action scenes or presentation, and the acting, was pretty good for all the characthers.


In Conclusion: This movie is yet another fail in the DCEU: Generic, predectible, empty, with a liveless cast, irregular visuals, one dimensional villian, and a convinient conclusion, failing both as a standalone movie and as a adaptation of one of the most famous comic book's Team ever. Don't watch it, unless  you're a DC/Warner Hater.

Also, I want to say that I haven't read the comic book, so this review would be particually about the movie as an independet product.

Valerian and the City of Thousand Planetes is bad in almost all the sense of the word: generic, unfunny, boring, uninspired, predictable, there is much to throw at.

Something that moderately did well was the visuals, which I will admit, there are pretty well made in over all aspects: The CGI is well rendered, the design of the costumes and backgrounds are pretty well made, the design for the aliens, the directing in this film is overall impresive with some creative shots, for example the opening sequence that kicks this film off is breathtaking that serves as a good presentation of the setting or the action secuences which is well done with an excting coreography, the soundtrack is competent and makes this movie a little less unplesant to sit though, And..........that's about it, yeah, besides that, everything else is garbage.

One of the many and most notorious problems that the film has: The Acting. Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne portray 2 bland and generic special government agents tasked with some of the universe's most important tasks. The problem with these besides the poor caractherization of the 2 (Valerian is a rebel but also inteligent somehow , and Laureline It's smart and responsable or something like that) they also show SO LITTLE about their chemistry between them that the romace feels forced as hell. DeHaan gives such an extremely wooden performance that it is borderline painful, since he express so little about his caracther to feel somewhat believable, this a role that would fit better with someone like Chris Patt, Matt Damon, Tom Cruise or Will Smith, actors which had experiences playing carismatic or rebel caracthers. But Nop, we got Dane, an actor which relies enterily on the director and the script to make a good performance. In Delevingne case, is not much better, she keeps the same serious face for most of the movie, only serves as an Infodumping in order to explain stuff, the worst part is the romance subplot: It takes most of the scenes of movie, focusing more how much they love each other instead of ACTUAL interractions. The romantic relationship between these two characters maybe could have been believable with a different pair of actors, and of course, better written relationships than just the tipical and basic "opposites attract each other"


As for the plot itself, in concept is pretty simple (everyone is looking for some kind of MacGuffin that would help them in their mission), but it managed to be a convoluted mess: This is a 2 hour and 20 minute film that has no business being anything over 90 minutes, most of the scenes (specially in the last act) cut be cut aways and the movie would be much better, since there they fille like filler (example: the detour that features singer/songwriter Rihanna). Speaking of which, the "funny" scenes are also a problem: All jokes are shit, they are very try-hard, inmersion breaking, uninspered and with any good punchline, which are delivered in a such a terrible way by the main actors or a comic relief in the background.

To Conclude: Valerian is a waste of time. Only conformists or people with little critical sense could like this shit, save yourselves from this film.

So, I Recently watched the new and 3rd Thor movie (the marvel one) and I must say that it truly surpassed my expectations.............. but it doesn't mean that the movie was in any way good at all. What do I mean by that?? Well, let me explain in this review, but before that, a quick overall of the last two Thor movies.

Thor (2011) was a decent origin movie story, but a pretty damn forgetable one, since it was pretty predictible with various elements of the story (like the Odin's Dream and conviently waking up of it , Loki Betrayal, the final showdown,etc), most of the asgardians (except Odin or Loki) were merly plot devices or comic relifes, the scenes where Thor was in earth were mostly unnecesary (I mean, is not like the whole appeal of the god of thunder is to live mystical adventures on asgard or another of the 8 realms........NOP, let's just be him beting some mindless monsters in a unkown city of New Mexico, THAT'S WHAT PEOPLE WANT THIS DAYS!). Not to mention how badly they handle the romance subplot of Jane and Thor, they felt in love in a just a couple of days with little scenes that they intereact with each other, and with sou little focus on it, that it didn't felt very weel made. But on the positive side of things, some action there genuine well made, the whole caracther arc of Thor Odinson "Not being Worthy Anymore" was Ok, most of the acting was good (most notable Chris and Tom as Thor and Loki respectively), most of the jokes were decent and mostly well executed, Loki was a pretty damn carimastic villian (although how it survives it's pretty damn convinient), and the special effects still holds up today (ex: the disegn of Asgard or the general cinematography).

In the other hand, Thor The Dark World (2013) was Terrible. It not only had the same problems as the 1st one, IT AMPLIFY IT!!! Although this movie had the good idea of Thor Going againt a mistic world level threat, it wasn't well executed, the whole plan of Malekith was too convoluted and overcomplicated (besides, it doesn't explain what he wins with fusing the 9 Realms into 1, only for "bringing back the darkness"), not to mention the buch of convenencies that the movie has, as well as many scenes that were just pointless filler with shitty jokes or with the poorly made romance subplot (Jane hates Thor for SAVING THE WORLD WITH THE AVENGERS INSTEAD OF SPENDING TIME WITH HER). Overall, a total mess, only saved by some actions scenes, the special efects (although the cinematography was mediocre) and some of the acting.


Now you can see why the Thor films is consider to bee the "weakest of the MCU" so far. And well, here we are, with Thor: Ragnarok, which I would define it simply as "3 steps forward and 2 steps backwards".

As usual, I will start with the positive side of things: The action is quite dynamic, with a great use of the editing, directing and has great coreography (example: the Contest of Champions scene, the Final Battle with Hela or Hela vs the Asgardians), special effects are pretty good added to a pretty nice use of the Color Pallete that helps the movie to be more visually appalling, helping to make some scenes more intense (ex: Thor's fights in asgard or the figths with Surtur), most of the acting still pretty solid, the interactions with the secondary cast are decent, it very well paced (not to slow to be boring like dark world but no so fast to feel that the events are forced), some of the Jokes are well delivered, has a kick-ass soundtrack, the first 30 minutes and overall presentation of the film are pretty good. And that's it, from there it not more than an average blockbuster movie.

One of the main problems that the movie has is her main Villain: Hela. In contrast to her comic book version, she is pretty one dimensional, we don't know anything about her besides that she is the secret firstborn of Odin and she want to "KILL EVERYBODY BECAUSE SHE'S THE GODDESS OF DEATH!", her whole plan of taking over Asgard and kill everything is just so generic and redundant.

So, I have recently watch Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle and oh Boy, what a letdown it was.
Before I continue, I would say that I have good expectations about this film, since the first one (the secret service) give a pretty good impresion over all: Fun characters, fast paced action and very well choreographed (the already famous church scene), good acting, kick-ass ost, humor very well implemented, good handling of the drama, and yes, it had like their cliches and problems based on how they develop some scenes with some conveniences, but leaving that aside is a good rule of cool movie which also serves as a small tribute to spy genre.

So, before i tear apart this sequel, I will start with the positive side of things: The music is better than the first movie, the editing and transition of most of the scenes are good, most of the acting (both for the new, old cast and the cameo of famous singer Elton John) are pretty solid, the first minutes of the film are decent, the direction is ok, some action scenes are well done (I will touch this point later on) and....................That's it. Yeah, aside from all that, it's a complete mess of history.


Firstly, the plot is convoluted as fuck, with too many caracthers and thus too many subplots that don't contribute much to the story itself and  there are given very little focus on (Eggsy's girlfriend subplot, the main villian's subplot, the traitor subplot, the rebuild of kingsman subplot,etc), the first one although had a very simple and direct plot was very well focused on what he wanted to be: A cool movie that only takes itself serious to some point, which brings me to the next: The constant changes of tone. The first movie was aware that it was ridicolous and only take itself serious to certain degre (given also good drama scenes), BUT HERE, they decide to make the thing 100% serious, which it doesn't work in a story where the main villian it's a crazy cartoon buinesswoman, whose plan it's to take over the world with poison alcohol........because movie (which also makes his way that she. This also makes the jokes somewhat anticlimatic, for example the phone call scene.

For the rest of the cast, they are not saved either: The ones from the previews movie don't learn anything from this adventure, the main villian is a joke that is meant to be taken seriously, the new cast have easy define personalities and little interraction with the main cast (which this last makes me worth shit the turn of the cowboy guy who was a traitor all this time).

And the final climax was so unsatisfactory, the way that they defeat both the main villian and this crew was not only anticlimatic, was also plagued by the worst jokes on the whole film, only to end in "It Just another day in the job" Like all of this epic adventure that suposse to mean something big for the main protagonista and the kingsman, doesn't have any impact whatsoever.


As for the visuals was a hit or a miss: Like I said before, the acting was great, the editing is good, the ost is good, but in other hand the special effects look cheap as hell, the directing made the pacing very slow for a movie that supose to be fast paced, the cinematography was oversaturaed with too many bright colours, and the action was inconsistent (some were good shot and others were difficult to follow).

To Conclude, The Golden Circle is a total mess of a sequel that doesn't stand up to the original or evene another works of the director.

Asi que vi recientemente Kingsman 2: El Circulo Dorado y Oh dios, qué decepción fue.

Antes de continuar, debo decir que tenia buenas expectativas sobre esta película, ya que la primera (el servicio secreto) me dio una impresión bastante buena: Personajes divertidos, acción de ritmo rápido y muy bien coreografiado (la ya famosa escena de la iglesia) , buena actuación, banda sonora jodedora, humor muy bien implementado, buen manejo del drama, y sí, tenía como sus clichés y problemas basados en cómo desarrollan algunas escenas con algunas comodidades, pero dejando eso de lado buena película rule of cool que también sirve como un pequeño tributo al género del espía.

Por lo tanto, antes de destrozar esta secuela, voy a empezar con el lado positivo de las cosas: La música es mejor que la primera película, la edición y transición de la mayoría de las escenas son buenas, la mayoría de la actuación (tanto para el nuevo, el viejo elenco como para el cameo de famoso cantante Elton John) son bastante sólidos, los primeros minutos de la película son decentes, la dirección está bien, algunas escenas de acción están bien hechas (voy a tocar este punto más tarde) y ...................Eso es todo. Sí, aparte de todo eso, es un completo desastre de la historia.

En primer lugar, la trama es complicada como la mierda, con demasiados personajes y por lo tanto demasiados subtramas que no contribuyen mucho a la historia en sí y se les da muy poco enfoque en (la subtrama de la novia de Eggsy, la subtrama de la villana principal, la subtrama de la recontruccion de los cuarteles de kingsman, etc), la primera aunque tenía una trama muy simple y directa estaba muy bien centrado en lo que quería ser: Una película genial que sólo se toma en serio hasta cierto punto, lo que me lleva a la siguiente: Los constantes cambios de tono. La primera película fue consciente de que era ridícula y sólo se tomaba en serio a cierto grado (dadas también buenas escenas dramáticas), PERO AQUÍ, deciden hacer la cosa 100% seria, lo cual no funciona en una historia donde la principal villana es una empresaria caricaturezca y loca, cuyo plan es tomar el mundo con el alcohol envenenado ........ porque la película lo dice(que también hace que su camino que ella. Esto también hace que las bromas algo anticlimatico, por ejemplo, la escena de la llamada telefónica.


Para el resto del elenco, tampoco se salva: Los de la película anterior no aprenden nada de esta aventura, el villano principal es una broma que quiere ser tomada en serio, el nuevo reparto tiene personalidades fáciles de definir y poca interacciónes con el elenco principal (que este último me hace merecedor de mierda el turno del tipo vaquero que fue un traidor todo este tiempo).


Y el clímax final fue tan insatisfactorio, la forma en que derrotan tanto el villano principal y esta tripulación no sólo fue anticlimatico, también fue plagado por los peores chistes de toda la película, sólo para terminar en "Solo es otro dia en el trabajo" Como toda esta aventura épica que supone significar algo grande para el protagonista principal y a la organizacion de Kingsman, no tiene ningún impacto en absoluto.


En cuanto a lo visual, fue un acierto o fallo: Como dije antes, la actuación fue genial, la edición es buena, el ost es bueno, pero por otro lado los efectos especiales parecen baratos como la mierda, la dirección hizo el ritmo muy lento para una película que se supone que es una historia con un ritmo rápido, la cinematografía estaba saturada de demasiados colores brillantes, y la acción era inconsistente (algunos eran buenos disparos y otros eran difíciles de seguir).

Para concluir, el Círculo Dorado es un desastre total de una secuela que no se opone al original ni a otras obras del director.

Altough DC has made some mistakes in the live action territory, the stuff on their animation territory where mostly pretty damn good and enjoyable. For example, in TV Series, had stuff like the 90s Batman animated series, Justice League Unlimated, Green Lantern The Animated Series, Young Justice, etc. Whereas on animated Films they where stuff like Justice League A New Frontier, Justice League Gods And Monsters Superman vs the Elite, Batman the mask of the Phantasm, Batman Under the Red Hood, All Star Superman, and so on and so for.
But since 2014, with the release of justice league war, they had been a severe decay of the qualityt of the DC animated FIlms, since (excepting one o two movies) their share the same universe and also same directors/actors/writers with every movie, because of this, now the movies have less creative freedom/control than before, making the quality of the films varieted from quality bad (JLDark, Son of Batman), mediocre (Judas Contract, JL War, Batman Bad Blood), to decent and in rare cases actually good (Batman v Robin, JL v TT, Throne of Atlantis).

So, as you can see, I had some positive expectations to Batman and Harley Quinn, since Bruce Timm had alreadey made a good animated film in the past with JL Gods And Monsters, their had no so many creative limitations, most of the original cast would be back and it had the feeling of the old animated show, it has all the ingridientes to be something decent, right?..............Now you can imagine what a let down it was.

To start with the positive side of things, the animation and directing is decent (a little stattic sometimes but with pretty decent in the action scenes), voice acting is mostly good and matches with the caracthers (except from one point I would talk later on), the soundtrack is competent but forgetable, some of the jokes are well delivered, the presentation of the plot in their first couple of minutes or so is good and....nothing else. Aside from that, everything is a complete mess.

The most obvious failure of the movie is one the trio of protagonists: Harley Quinn. The reason of why is in the film is stupid and little is deepened in it, since it is just to find where poisin ivy is (but wait, batman is not a detective? their had the batcave and various clues that their can use to track ivy down!! And even if Batman asks to help an ex-villain, this would be the last resort for him, which the movie does not specify at any time, plus there was little chance that Harley Quinn knew where Poison Ivy was and which was her plan). Leavin that aside, most of the jokes or "punch-lines" that she saids are horrendus sexual jokes or pubert humour (aka the farting scene in the batmovile), most the problems of the 3rd act are causing by her so both Batman and Nighwing need to be Babysitting her though most of the film, and not to mention the horrible choice for Voice Actor that is Melissa Rauch.....yes, you heard me right, Melissa Rauch aka Bernadette from The Big Bang Theory. She gives an awful perfomance, with a squeaky annoying voice like a Looney Toone, and that does not even come close to tara strong's perfomance or any of the other in the main cast. This is specially obvious when she tries to be dramatic but fails by having always that tone of voice.


As the plot itself: Its pretty bland and generic, but it drag to long by scenes that serve no propuse (most of then made by harley quinn, like one scene where she punch a guy that left her waiting in a party when she was a tennager), with an inconsistente tone though it (sometimes wants to be funny, sometimes dramatic, sometimes just action, but none of that has a good transition between them). All of this with the generic villian that are Poisvon Ivy and Floronic Man, that just want to live in a world in only plants and no humans, starting with Gotham City with science (because yes, science can do that), Not to mention the rest of characters that are 1- a joke or 2-only serve to move the plot faster.

 And the ending....OH MY GOD! THE FUCKIN IS TERRIBLE! BvS LEVEL OF BAD!


So to conclude, this by far one of the worst DC Animated films I ever watched. I even think that is one of the worst adptation that DC had produce so far, even when the Batman animated Series was some weak episodes, they always manage to be at least decent with some good moments, this movie doesn't have that!

Save your time and do not see it.

A pesar de DC ha cometido algunos errores en el territorio de live action, las cosas que ha hecho su territorio de animación son en su mayoria bastante buenas y disfrutables. Por ejemplo, en la serie de televisión, había cosas como la serie de Batman de los 90s, Liga de la Justicia Ilimitada, Linterna Verde la serie animada, Justicia joven, etc Mientras que en las películas de animación donde cosas como Liga de la Justicia Una Nueva Frontera, Liga de la Justicia: Dioses y Monstruos Superman vs Elite, Batman, la máscara del Fantasma, Batman Under the Red Hood, All Star Superman, y así sucesivamente.

Pero desde el 2014, con el estreno de la peli Justice League War, ha habido una severa decadencia de la calidad de las películas animadas de DC, ya que (con excepción de una o dos películas) comparten el mismo universo y también los mismos directores/actores/ escritores con cada película, por eso, ahora las películas tienen menos libertad creativa / control que antes, haciendo que la calidad de las películas variando de mala calidad (JLDark, Son of Batman), mediocre (Judas Contract, JL: War, Batman Bad Blood) decente y rara vez buenas (Batman v Robin, JL v TT, JL: Trono de la Atlántida).


Por lo tanto, como puedes ver, tuve algunas expectativas positivas para Batman y Harley Quinn, ya que Bruce Timm ya había hecho una buena película de animación en el pasado con JL Gods And Monsters, no tenía tantas limitaciones creativas, la mayoría del elenco original estaría de vuelta y tenía la sensación de la vieja serie animada, tiene todos los ingredientes a ser algo decente, ¿verdad? .............. Ahora usted podra imaginar lo decepcionante que fue.

Para comenzar con el lado positivo de las cosas, la animación y la dirección son decentes (un poco estatístico a veces, pero con escenas de acción decente), la actuación de voz es en su mayoría buena y coincide con los personajes (excepto de un punto que hablaría más adelante) la banda sonora es competente pero olvidable, algunos de los chistes están bien entregados, la presentación de la trama en su primer par de minutos por ahi es buena y .... nada más. Aparte de eso, todo es un completo desastre.

El fallo más obvio de la película es uno de los tres protagonistas: Harley Quinn. La razón de por qué está en la película es estúpida y poco se profundiza en ella sólo para encontrar donde está la hiedra venenosa (pero, que acaso Batman no es un detective? Tenían la baticueva y varias pistas que pueden utilizar para seguir hiedra! E incluso si Batman llera a pedir ayudar a una ex-villana, esto seria como ultimo recurso para el, cosa que la peli no especifica en ningun momento, sumado a que había pocas posibilidades de que Harley Quinn supiera donde Poison Ivy estuviera y cual era su plan), la mayoría de las bromas o "remates" que ella dice son horrendas bromas sexuales o humor puberto (aka la escena con los pedos en el batmovil), la mayoría de los problemas del tercer acto están causados por ella solo para que así Nightwing y Batman la tengan que estar "cuidandola" durante toda la pelicula, y ni mencionar la horrible elección para el actor de voz que es Melissa Rauch ..... sí, me escuchaste bien, Melissa Rauch aka Bernadette de The Big Bang Theory. Ella da un terrible actuación, con una voz chirriante y molesta como un Looney Toone, y eso ni siquiera se acerca a la perfección de tara strong o siquiera al resto del reparto de la peli. Esto es especialmente obvio y malo cuando trata de sonar dramática pero aun asi sigue manteniendo el mismo tono de voz, fallando en expresar este tipo de escenas.

En cuanto a la trama misma: Es bastante blanda y genérica, pero se alarga por escenas que no sirven propuse (la mayor parte de entonces hecho por harley quinn, como la escena donde golpea a un tipo que la dejó esperándola en una fiesta), con un cambio de tonos muy malo (a veces quiere ser graciosa, a veces dramática, a veces sólo acción frenética, pero ninguna de esas escenas tiene una buena transición o mucho enfoque entre ellos). Todo esto con el villano genérico que son Poisvon Ivy y Floronic Man, que sólo quieren vivir en un mundo sólo en plantas y sin humanos, comenzando con Gotham City por que pueden hacerlo con ciencia (por que si, la ciencia hace eso). Ya ni hablar del resto de personajes que o son un chiste o solo sirven para mover la trama mas rapido.                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Y el final de la peli............ OH MI DIOS EL FINAL! ES JODIDAMENTE TERRIBLE! BvS NIVEL DE MIERDA




Así que para concluir, esta es, con mucho, una de las peores películas animadas de DC que he visto hasta ahora. Incluso pienso que es uno de los peores adaptaciones que DC había producido hasta ahora, incluso cuando la serie de Batman animado fue algunos episodios débiles, siempre logran ser al menos decente con algunos buenos momentos, esta película ni tiene eso!

Ahorren su tiempo y no lo vea.

So, I recently watched the new Christopher Nolan's film, and I must said that I wasn't particullary excited about it, since I am a total stranger to Nolan's works and (at least where I lived) it wasn't very sponsored. But, when I finally saw it with some friends, it turn out to be one of the most tense and beautiful experiences I've seen this year.


To start with, I will said that were it comes down to the visuals I have 0 complains about it: The soundtrack is excelent (making every sense both tense or dramatic where it should be, mixing also with sounds efects like the clock helping the suspense), the cinematography is gorgeous, the acting is very solid for all the cast, both the special efects and the clothes help to make the war setting more plausible, and the directing it pretty good, talking more with visuals rather than info-dumping. All this makes up for some really cool scenes (for example the first 15 minutes).


As for the story, in the surface looks pretty simple (been only a representation of the British soldiers fighting in the war sector during World War II) there is more to it. You see, the movie is basically told from three perspectives - land, sea, and air- each with his unique thems, challenges, and conection near the end, all enganging to watch, with a well presented tone and well structure, Nolan manages to put the viewer in the environment that is based on this real story. Also, the pacing is really good . One problem I had with the story, would be the characters, since the are very simple and some of them only help to move the plot foward, this is both a positive and a negative aspect. On one hand, this makes a little difficult for some it would be difficult to follow the history with this simpel characters, on the other hand, the main focus of the film is not them, is the feeling of war itself, and does not seek dramatization in this, but rather all connect based on knowing the context. 

Another thing would be his narrative: It jumps back and forward between the 3 stories, the montage between the 3 stories it is hard to follow and piece it all together the first time that you watched, but trust me, it is all worth it for the powerful message that left us. We need more movies like this: direct, based on context and visual poetry, and especially beautiful in message (and more if it is one with the impact and accessibility that had this that even a casual audience can enjoy and maybe interested in such a cinema ).

So as a whole, Durkirk is an awosome movie and (athough with his mistakes) by far one the films that I watched this year so far.

Asi que, recientemente vi la nueva película de Christopher Nolan, y debo decir que no estaba muy entusiasmado por ello, ya que soy un total desconocido para las obras de Nolan y (al menos donde yo vivía) no era muy patrocinado. Pero, cuando finalmente lo vi con algunos amigos, resultó ser una de las experiencias más tensas y hermosas que he visto este año.

Para empezar, diré que si se reduce a las visuales tengo 0 quejas sobre ello: La banda sonora es excelente (haciendo que todos los sentidos tanto tenso o dramático donde se puede enviar, la mezcla también con efectos sonidos como el reloj ayudando al suspenso), La cinematografía es magnífica, la actuación es muy sólida para todo el elenco, tanto los efectos especiales y la ropa ayudan a hacer la configuración de la guerra más plausible, y la dirección es bastante bueno, hablando más con imágenes en el lugar de sobre-exponer. Todo esto compensa algunas escenas realmente geniales (por ejemplo, los primeros 15 minutos).

En cuanto a la historia, en la superficie parece bastante simple (siendo sólo una representación de los soldados británicos que luchan en el sector de la guerra durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial), pero hay más. Verán, la película es básicamente contada desde tres perspectivas - la tierra, el mar y el aire - cada una con sus temas únicos, retos, y conexión cerca del final, todo interesante de ver, con un tono bien presentado y bien estructurado, Nolan logra Poner al espectador en el entorno que se basa en esta historia real. El ritmo es realmente muy bueno también. Un problema que tuve con la historia, serían los personajes, ya que son muy simples y algunos de ellos sólo ayudan a mover la trama hacia el futuro, esto es tanto un aspecto positivo y un aspecto negativo. Por un lado, esto hace un poco difícil para algunos, sería difícil seguir la historia con los personajes tan simples, por otro lado, el foco principal de la película no es ellos, es el sentimiento de la guerra en sí, y no busca Dramatización en esto, sino más bien todos conectados basados en conocer el contexto. Algo asi como en pelis como The Thin Red Line


Otra cosa sería su narrativa: salta hacia atrás y hacia adelante entre las 3 historias, el montaje entre las 3 historias es difícil de seguir y juntar todas las piezas la primera vez que usted vio, pero confía en mí, todo vale la pena oor el poderoso mensaje que nos deja. Necesitamos más películas como esta: directas, basadas en el contexto y la poesía visual, y especialmente hermosas en el mensaje (y más si es una con el impacto y la accesibilidad que tenía esto que incluso un público casual puede disfrutar y tal vez interesado en un cine de este tipo ).

Así que en conjunto, Dunkerque es una película impresionante y (aunque con sus errores), de lejos una de las películas que he visto este año hasta ahora.

So, I recently watched the new Edgar Wright film, and not to my surprise, It was GREAT!

To start with, one of the most remarkable things of the Edgar Wright's movies is the great mix of both action and comedy, and Baby Driver isn't the exception. Unlike many action movies nowdays, the great direction and editing makes the car chases scenes feel fast and unique, without making difficult to follow or generic in someway, the same can say about the shooting scenes. All of these is accompanied by a Kickass soundtrack, that makes the right mode of fast paced thriller.

As for the story, although it's pretty simple and straightforward (besides for the little romance subplot), but is move in a very organic way and its well paced, with a pretty godd cast: They are a very charismatic group, very varied in personality, with good performances and sublime dialogues, and share a chemistry and contrast interesting enough to keep the film (example Buddy or the love interest). The only exception of this, would be the main villain, although it's not the main focus of the movie, it still pretty one-dimensional.


So as a whole, is far from been the best movie of the director, but still shines on its own as a kick-ass action movie with both comedy and drama well made, and it goes on one of my favorite movie of the year so far.

Todo esto está acompañado por una banda sonora jodedora, que hace que el modo correcto de thriller de ritmo rápido.

En cuanto a la historia, aunque es bastante simple y directo (además de la pequeña subtrama romántica), pero se mueve de una manera muy orgánica y con un buen ritmo, con un reparto bastante bueno: Son un grupo muy carismático, muy variado en la personalidad , Con buenas actuaciones y diálogos sublimes, y comparten una química y un contraste lo suficientemente interesante como para mantener la película (ejemplo Buddy o el interés amoroso). La única excepción de esto, sería el villano principal, aunque no es el foco principal de la película, sigue siendo bastante unidimensional.


Así que en su conjunto, está lejos de ser la mejor película del director, pero sigue brillando por sí misma como una película de acción genial con la comedia y el drama bien hechos, y va en una de mis películas favoritas del año por ahora.

So, I Recently watched the new Spider-Man film......again, and like the last reboot it's basically a Spider-Man for young teenagers. Only difference it’s TRULY amazing.

To start with, one of the first things that it did right was Peter Parker/Spider-Man, unlike the Andrew Garfield version who was an asshole and a clown that doesnt learn about his mistakes thoguth the movie, this version feels a little bit more human, by focus on showing a more naive vision of Peter and how has to balance his superhero life with his normal life, stuff like being a good student at school, keeping friends, trying to conquer the girl that he loves, but also trying to gain more recognition as a superhero . Making this not only a Superhero movie, but also a Coming of age story (not spectacularly like the Sam Raimi's Triology was, but still it was satisfactory). On side of the secondary cast, there is not much to complain, most of them are hilarious and serve a propose to the story, except the love interest which is bland as hell (making the romantic relationship mediocre, since there not share a lot of time screen and by the end on the movie is resolved in a forced way) and Aunt May (which does not do much in history), but aside from that, there are mostly a well made cast.

Another positive is the main villian Vulture/Adrian Toomes,who is actually a pretty good villian. One of the problems of the MCU movies are the villains, they are mostly very simplistic and have they objetive are mostly "Take over the world" o "Kill the hero, because he fuck up my life", but not this time. Vulture has reasonably and human motives to do what it does, being just a normal worker/father who lost this job due to Damage Control, and becames a terrorist in order to keep his family and this fellow co-workers from poverty, kinda like Zemo in the Captain America Civil War movie which was also a very human caracther.

Also, I liked who this time is not another "Origin Story". Yes, there are the mention of stuff like the spider, "with great power comes great responsability" and all that, but it not the main focus of the film, this makes the movie feel a little bit more refresing instead of a rehash of the same stuff we seen other times before. Although the main story is a little bit simplistic (been only about Peter discovering and triyng to stop the Vulture) is move in a very organic way and its well paced (not to fast to feel the plot is moving only by conviniencies, and not to slow to feel the thing bore and dull).

For the techincal aspects, it was also pretty well done: Good special effects, Great acting for most of the caracthers, good action scenes, and a kickass soundtrack that gives the feel teenage movies from 80s/90s.

On negative side of things, some of the jokes can feel "Inmerssion Breaking" for the way the contrast with some dramatic/serious moments, some of the secondary characters don't stand out a lot like I mention before, and the directing is just competent since it doesnt stand out except for the fight scenes.

So as a whole, is not as great as the Raimi movies and its far for been the best MCU movie until now, but still shines on its own as a good re-intepretation of the arachanid.

The Amazing Spider-man is the boring dull version of Spider-Man, whereas Homecoming is the funnier more modern version, and I loved it.

Así que recientemente vi la nueva película de Spider-Man........ de nuevo, y como el último reinicio es básicamente un Spider-Man para jóvenes adolescentes. La única diferencia es VERDADERAMENTE asombro esta vez.

Para empezar, una de las primeras cosas que hizo bien fue Peter Parker/Spider-Man, a diferencia de la versión de Andrew Garfield que era un idiota y un payaso que no aprende de sus errores en la película, esta versión se siente un poco más humano, centrándose en mostrar una visión más ingenua de Peter y cómo tiene que equilibrar su vida de superhéroe con su vida normal, cosas como ser un buen estudiante en la escuela, mantener a sus amigos, tratando de conquistar a la chica que ama, pero también tratando de ganar más reconocimiento como un superhéroe. Haciendo esto no sólo una película de Superhéroe, sino también una historia de crecimiento (no lo hace espectacularmente como la Triología de Sam Raimi lo hizo, pero aún así fue satisfactoria). En el lado del elenco secundario, no hay mucho que quejarse, la mayoría son hilarantes y sirven una propuesta a la historia, excepto el interés amoroso que es blando como el carajo (haciendo que la relación romántica mediocre, ya que no comparte un montón de tiempo en pantalla al no ser el foco principal y al final en la película se resuelve de una manera forzada) y tía May (que no hace mucho en la historia), pero aparte de eso, hay en su mayoría un reparto bien hecho.

Otro aspecto positivo es el villano principal Buitre/Adrian Toomes, que en realidad es un villano muy bueno. Uno de los problemas de las películas del UCM son los villanos, son en su mayoría muy simplistas y tienen como objetivo son en su mayoría "Conquistar el mundo" o "Matar al héroe, porque él arruino mi vida", pero no esta vez. El buitre tiene motivos razonables y humanos para hacer lo que hace, siendo sólo un trabajador/padre normal que perdió este trabajo debido al grupo de "Control de Daños" de Tony Stark, y se convierte en un terrorista para mantener a su familia y este compañero de trabajo de la pobreza. Algo parecido a Zemo en la película de Captain America: Civil War quien también era un villano bastante humano.

Además, me gustó que esta vez no es otra "Historia de Origen". Sí, hay la mención de cosas como la araña, "con gran poder viene una gran responsabilidad" y todo eso, pero no es el foco principal de la película, esto hace que la película se sienta un poco más refrescante en lugar de un refrito desinspirado de la lo mismo que vimos otras veces antes. Aunque la historia principal es un poco simplista (sólo fue acerca de Peter descubriendo y tratando de detener al Buitre) se mueve de una manera muy orgánica y su ritmo esta bien hecho (no muy rápido para sentir la trama se mueve sólo por conveniencias, y no demasiado lento para sentir la cosa aburrida y plana).

Para los aspectos técnicos, también fue bastante bien hecho: buenos efectos especiales, gran actuación para la mayoría de los personajes, buenas escenas de acción, y una banda sonora jodedora que da la sensación de las buenas películas adolescentes de 80s/90s.

En el lado negativo de las cosas, algunas de las bromas pueden sentir "Chocantes" por la forma en que el contraste con algunos momentos dramáticos, algunos de los personajes secundarios no destacan mucho como he mencionado antes, y la dirección es sólo competente ya que no destaca excepto por las escenas de acción.

Por lo tanto, no es tan grande como las películas de Raimi y esta lejos de ser la mejor peli del UCM, pero sigue brillando por sí mismo como una buena re-interpretación del aracanido.

El Asombro Hombre Araña es la versión aburrida y noña de Spider-Man, mientras que Homecoming es la versión más divertida y moderna, y me encantó.

So, I watched the new DCEU Film "Wonder Woman" and for my surprise it turn out to be the best DCEU film..............although it is not as if that was a great achievement in the first place.

Ok, it will admit the movie is FAR from been bad, since it has some things that it did right:


+ The protagonist, although not been the great thing, is for the most a likeable character. Things like her idealisms, her carisma, her rude attitude of amazon warrior, are nicely done. With a very godd acting by the Gal Galdot
+Most of the special effects, cinematography, action scenes and music are very good, making some scenes very well done (example: The training montaje or the arrival of the germans in Paradise Island)
+ The supporting characters are competent and the whole cast of actors does a good job, especially Chris Pine. Plus, the interactions with the main protagonist are nicelly done.
+The Humor, is generally well implemented unlike things like suicide squad.
+Unlike Batman v Superman, it's more focus on his story and characters without making unnecessarily complicate with subplots.

But, for the negative side:
-The plot is simplistic and very linear, there are not so many surprises and it is something that could get to feel monotonous at times. Yeah, I know that previously I said that it was a positive thing, but, the thing is that the plot is unimaginative with his setting, making this a generic origin story in a WW1 setting.
-The main villains, both Erich Ludendorff and Ares, are mediocre. They understand more do not go deep into them, they are one-dimensional characters whose motivation is "CONQUER THE WORLD".
-Speaking of Ares, the big twist of his real identity has NO BUILD-UP OR ANTICIPATCION AND LITERRALLY COMES OUT OF NOWHERE. And the way that its defeated it's basically a very poor power-up that comes out nowhere in the last 20 minutes.
-Most of the concept of the setting of Greek Mythology is not very used, only in the superficial level having the main villain as a Greek God (which like a I Said before is One-Dimensonal). And do no tell me that it's imposible for a superheroe movie to do this, for example, Doctor Strange and the 2 Thor movies used very well their settings in order to enrich their story and characters (the first been a magical realm setting with a lots of themes about faith as well as the presentation and interaction with several sorcerers during the fil,, and the second one using the Norse Mytology with the presence of Gods, many of the realms and a variety of monsters that serve a propose to the story).

I would say that movie suprises me when it first came out, at first seems like a much simpler and comical version of "Cast Away", but although it is a comedy, for the most part it stands out for its dramatic scenes. Both Hank and Manny have a good characterization and share a excellent chemistry on screen, making them a very memorable duo.

At the same time, the story is no disappointing, mainly highlighting as it is raising existential questions of life itself to give an example, the past of Hank, the questions that Manny has about life itself, with somewhat profound scenes, along with a more than satisfactory and beautiful ending that concludes all the questions that the movie had.

If we talk about the visuals, for a movie that costs only 3 million into making their are pretty amazing: The acting made the characters believe to the audience having good nuances, the visual effects stand out when it comes to the surreal moments, the make-up in the case of Manny character it's amazing, all this along side with a soundtrack that could be considered even original for what is accustomed in the world of cinema.

Its main fault is the humor, since it's mostly the typical eschatological humor that isn't to much elaborated, which probably not many would like it (been his stuff like fart jokes, puke joke, erection jokes, poop jokes, and so much more) and other been simple Slapstick humor. Also that most of movie it's only focused in the main duo leaving the rest of the cast pretty simple by comparision.

But, aside from that, it's by far one the most interesting films that I watched in 2016 and I totally recommend, since it seen very underrated.

Dire que la película me sorprendió cuando salió por primera vez, al principio parece una versión mucho más simple y cómica de "Naufrago", pero aunque es una comedia, en su mayor parte se destaca por sus escenas dramáticas. Tanto Hank como Manny tienen una buena caracterización y comparten una química excelente en la pantalla, por lo que es un dúo muy memorable.

Al mismo tiempo, la historia no es decepcionante, destacando principalmente como plantea cuestiones existenciales de la vida misma para dar un ejemplo, el pasado de Hank, las preguntas que Manny tiene sobre la vida misma, con escenas algo profundas, junto con un final mas que satisfactorio y hermoso que concluye todas las preguntas que la película plantea.

Si hablamos de visual, para una película que costo sólo 3 millones en hacer son bastante sorprendentes: Las actuaciones hace creíble a los personajes a la audiencia con buenos matices, los efectos visuales se destacan cuando se trata de los momentos surrealistas, el maquillaje en el caso del personajes de Manny es asombroso, todo esto acompañado con una banda sonora que se podría considerar incluso original para qué está acostumbrado en el mundo del cine.

Su principal defecto es el humor, ya que es sobre todo el humor escatológico típico que no es muy elaborado, lo que probablemente no muchos le gustaría (cosas como chistes sobre pedos, chistes sobre vómitos, chistes de erección, chistes sobre excremento, y mucho más) y el otro siendo humor Slapstick simple . También que la mayoría de la película sólo se centra en el dúo principal, dejando el resto del reparto bastante simple por comparación.


Pero, aparte de eso, es por lejos una de las películas más interesantes que he visto en 2016 y lo recomiendo totalmente, ya que parece muy infravalorada.
